' beaten alive ' ? ( eaten alive \ beaten to dead ) ? : )

I think it's best to watch that video then use your imagination!
Co-op was the main kind of multiplayer gaming in America prior to Street Fighter 2. My favorite old co-op games were Mario Bros, Contra and Ninja Turtles. Then everybody got a hard on for 1-on-1 fighting games and deathmatching FPSes, thus marginalizing co-op gaming for a decade.

Despite the fact that my favorite old co-op games were very much guy games, I imagine that a lot of casual gamers (moms) might prefer the multiplayer modes in their bright, easy Wii games to be co-op rather than competitive. How's Wii Music?
Extra: As movie theaters gradually replace film projectors with video projectors, people are going to want to connect game consoles or gaming PCs to the projector and play multiplayer games on the big screen. That would be far more of a communal experience than watching a movie, since the audience would be interacting with eachother. I'm looking forward to it.
I remember ' Gauntlet '
Local co-op is one thing but with everyone getting spread out, online co-op is a bugger to implement. Been there, tested that. Gawd.
